In developing the Model DKA, Daihatsu surveyed the marketing and distribution activities of liquor stores, grocery stores, and other small businesses and developed the vehicle that would be best suited to those needs. In particular, its publicity efforts and sales strategies touted not only the vehicle itself, but also its usefulness for retail delivery, and sales grew dramatically as a result, setting new records for units sold.
The vehicle was conceived and designed to provide the minimum necessary functions at a low price, and every possible effort was made to achieve simplicity and convenience, not only in the basic structure of the vehicle as a whole, but also in each of its individual parts. |
