This Toyota telematics system originated from MONET, which started in 1998, and became G-BOOK in 2002. The G-BOOK was developed into G-BOOK alpha in 2005. Traffic congestion prediction service Although the VICS system provides route navigation by taking traffic congestion at set points into consideration, G-BOOK predicts changes in traffic congestion after that point and provides route navigation by taking such predicted changes into consideration.
